Rachel J. Riley, E.I.
Registered Engineering Intern
State of Maine
Ms. Riley began work at Lanpher Associates, Inc. in 1996 as an Engineer-Intern. Her experience in computer modeling as a research assistant at the University of Maine has carried over into the development of design tools utilized at Lanpher Associates, Inc. Despite her recent entry into the engineering design field, she has already become an accomplished designer. She has been involved in the HVAC design of Fire Stations, Municipal Buildings, Medical Centers and private residences. Also to her credit is the assistance in the design of mechanical systems for several land based fish hatcheries involving complex pumping and biofiltration systems. As an independent designer, she provided technical expertise for the production of CAD drawings to be used in a patent application, assessing the acting forces, developing a design to withstand failure and creating working models. Ms. Riley continues her professional development by subscribing to the latest publications in her field and by attending trade conferences, seminars, and monthly ASHRAE meetings.
